Fading Legacy of the Macanese: Towards a Collective Visual Identity

This study aims to identify images, artefacts and other prized possessions that constitute a collective visual identity of the Macanese. The outcome of this research can have several distinct purposes, such as seeking to aggregate the sense of identity of this ethnie, as well as fostering new creative interpretations to suit new contexts. For this purpose, it was used a qualitative methodology of interviews, focus group, visual analysis and oral history.
